Depressed? Here’s What Dalai Lama Wants You to Know

The Dali Lama is a Tibetan spiritual leader. However, he likes to refer to himself as a simple Buddhist monk. Perhaps, this trait is what makes him quite special. Having been ordained as the new Dalai Lama at a young age, he’s spent almost all of his life dedicated to living the life of a monk.
His daily regimen typically involves numerous hours of prayer and medication. In a recent address to FICCI Ladies Organization in New Delhi, India, the Dalai Lama made a point of sharing that he is inclined to a particular meditation style known as ‘analytic meditation.’
According to the Dalai Lama, analytic meditation helps him focus on all the information accumulated by the mind from various sources. By meditation, he says he is able to use reasoning to decode and decrypt what everything means. This process helps him achieve a positive state of mind and let go of negative energies that take shape as emotions and thoughts that are the root causes of dissatisfaction and suffering.
Anger Management

Mindfulness Meditation is necessary since its aim is to train our minds on how to properly respond to different, complicated situations
The prevalence of violence and anger upon the face of the earth is a direct consequence of the lack of analytical analysis by most people. Anger has the power to have detrimental effects on the way one relates with family, friends, oneself, and society in general.
By making use of intelligence to decipher the impacts of negative energies, world peace would be a thing of the present according to the Dalai Lama.
Mindfulness Meditation
Stress and anxiety often develop once people are able to fall victim to the daily pressures of life. Once one is unable to cope with what life offers, the human psyche is wired to naturally respond to such calamities.
Consequently, meditation helps a great deal in determining how we are able to respond to high-pressure situations whilst staying cool. Mindfulness meditation deals with how stressed out individuals can ably make the distinction between tasks. The distinction helps us in differentiating those that require our full capacity and those that don’t.
By making this distinction, stress and anxiety levels are more than likely to fade away into thin air. However, the biggest challenge is that we lead lives that rarely give us the time and space to contemplate. Thinking about such trivialities in detail and with full clarity is quite important. Meditation presents us with a unique leeway to exploit this demand aspect of stress management.
Supply & Demand
As economists like to posit, for every demand, a supply should always be ready to counter. In this case, the brain is able to come to the rescue. Scientific studies have continually shown that the brain is a malleable organ. It can easily be influenced to achieve specific goals. Meditation offers the perfect way for the brain to train itself in analyzing the happenings all around us.
The contemporary scene seems to be in agreement that as conscious beings, humans need to take responsibility for their health. Medicinal research and fitness outfits like gyms have gained a huge following in recent years. The only thing left is to fill in the final jigsaw puzzle. We can do this by training our minds how to perceive everything. By taking inventory and a call to action on how we can make radical changes to improve ourselves, inner peace is bound to happen. It will effectively lead to enhanced levels of human interactions.
Prevention is Better

Mindfulness meditation can go a long way in helping us focus on what’s really important. By doing this, we can comprehend the flimsiness of life.
Mindfulness meditation is a fantastic place for anyone looking to counter the inevitable from happening. Thus, given the capitalistic nuances embedded in every one of us, high pressure and stressful situations are always bound to happen.
When such situations happen, they can be particularly draining, especially for the mind. Having the right measures in place to shield us from the repercussions of these situations is a good strategy.
Additionally, meditation helps us gain awareness that no situation is permanent. Creating the space in our minds that allows us to perceive and filter out the negative energies allows us to focus on positive deeds and actions. With continued practice, we can anticipate problem situations beforehand and learn the best mitigation strategies to employ. It’s a mind thing.
